Praying For Us

One of the most important aspects of daily life is spending time in prayer. It is the same when it comes to missions. The unity of the Body of Christ in prayer is an important fact that can be often overlooked. We are one in Christ. In 1 Corinthians 12:26, Paul says “If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.” It is encouraging to remember that we don’t serve the Lord in a vacuum. We are not, and cannot, be alone in His work. Through prayer, even those who are not travelling with us are able to participate as fellow members of the team through the unity in Christ.

We ask that you assist us by joining with us in prayer. Consider all that the mission will be doing and think of specific things to pray for. As is the case in most everything, there are abundant needs and plenty of things to lift up to the Lord in prayer. Below are some ideas that might help form the basis of your prayer for our mission before, during, and after the trip.

Before the Trip

Please pray that:

  • The Lord will call on the people needed to fulfill His will for the mission
  • The purpose of the mission will be clear to all
  • Each team member will find a unique way to exercise their God-given gifts to His glory
  • Funds will be available to purchase necessities (such as airline travel)
  • The team will bond together around the purposes of the trip
  • All preparations will come together and in a timely manner
  • The team will be built up spiritually
  • The individuals on the team will be strengthened in their faith and their confidence in delivering the Gospel

During the Trip

Please pray for:

  • Safety in travel
  • Favor and expedience through the process of customs
  • Good health and an abundance of energy and strength
  • Restful sleep in unfamiliar surroundings
  • Protection from any and all danger
  • God’s blessing in the team ministry activities
  • Seeing unbelievers converted, believers established, and local churches strengthened
  • Adjustments and acclimation to cultural differences
  • Flexibility and adaptability as plans change, for whatever the reason

After the Trip

Please pray that:

  • The team will be able to communicate their experiences to the Glory of God
  • The team will adjust well to re-entry into American culture
  • The people that were ministered to will be converted and/or strengthened in their faith

We thank you for partnering with us in this important aspect of the ministry!
