Short-Term Missions Luncheon

The FBA Short-Term Missions Luncheon was a great success, with nearly 100 people in attendance! Chelsea and I were greatly encouraged by the enthusiastic response, as people began lining up to ask questions before we had even finished setting up our table (as well as several other mission tables). What a surprise blessing that was! We thank everyone who stopped by to speak with us, and we hope that we were able to answer everyone’s questions sufficiently. We hope that some of you feel purposed to join us in Honduras. Also, a great big thank you to everyone who put on the luncheon! We are deeply grateful for your sacrifices for us, and we thank you for providing us space in your day and in your heart. May God greatly prosper all the work that you do, and all of the other mission teams as well!

For those who indicated interest in a mission, please pray for wisdom and guidance as to where God would have you serve. We hope that you will pray for all of the short-term mission teams this year, as well as those long-term missionaries and indigenous peoples to whom they will minister. Proverbs 19:21 says, “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” Please pray that the purposes of the Lord will also be our purposes.

Your 2016 Team Leaders for Honduras #1

Buenos Días!

We are Michael and Chelsea Hayman, the husband and wife team that has been called to lead the FBA Honduras #1 mission for 2016.

This year, FBA is sending two teams to Honduras. Our team will be performing outreach and evangelism in several communities near La Campa in western Honduras. There is also the possibility of providing a basic medical clinic as well. We’re currently scheduled for June 18-25.

This is our first time leading a mission trip, so this will be a particularly interesting adventure that God has placed us in. We have a plan and know fairly well what to expect. Thankfully, He has also surrounded us with many knowledgeable and experienced people for when we have questions. We are both excited and a little nervous. Prayers for us and the trip are humbly requested and greatly appreciated – we will need all the prayer we can get!

Below is a picture of us from a medical mission to Panama in 2015. Please forgive the goofy looks, we had been traveling for a considerable time and it was very humid! While there, we were able to assist many people and provide compassionate care to groups of people that would likely receive little to no basic healthcare in a normal year. Just as in Panama, we hope God uses our team for great things in Honduras, so that souls shall be saved and Christ is glorified.

Michael & Chelsea

2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith by his power, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
